Like A Dim Light In The Dark
We can see that in the end he is no longer lost and ready to continue in the path of virtue and righteousness as we see here: “...until I saw through a round opening, some of those things of beaty Heaven bears. It was from there that we emerged to see-once more-the starts.” (Canto 34 Lines 136-139)
Here it is clear that he has once again returned to the dominion of God and he has achieved a certian recuperation from the darkened path he was falling for at the begining. He was no longer lost yet he still wasn't better from what he started as. This clearly shows that Dante has changed through the book.
Although Dante isn't lost anymore in the end it is important to mention that he doesn't see himself as a sinner anymore. This we see in the first circles where he faints after hearing some of the souls's stories. “ I fainted, as if I had met my death. And then I fell as a dead body falls.” (Canto 5 Lines 141-142)
This differs completly from the Dante towards the end of the book who hears much more horrible stories and sees even more merciless punishments yet he still doesn't react as he did to those punished in the begining.
I interpret this as a general trend which in this particular book seems like the path to finding a way out of hell even if we are still amongst the living. If I were to continue reading, it is likely that this trend would continue. This is possibly a person's path to purifying his soul from the most banal and earthly sins to the places where the soul is corrupted the most, that is the begining of the path of perfection. One can deduce that Dante isn't describing a real hell but rather the deepest and darkest parts of humanity. Although, that still woudn't be enough to describe the book. It necessary to add that it is also his way to escape all of the sins that have become earthly attatchments. This comes from the fact that all the souls that commited sins were forced to stay and live for the rest of eternity in hell (which according to Dante is in the center of the earth) while those who didn't have the weight of guild upon them were able to leave the “Earthly Paradise” completly.
In the next parts of the divine comedy it would expected to see Dante's process of purification and perfection of the soul continue. No longer attached to the earth by sins it would be only a matter of finding true enlightment through God that remains for him. Since I haven't read purgatory I am unsure as to what its purpose is. To my understanding it was the place where sins were to be forgiven and the soul cleansed of them but apparently there is no escape from them, atleast not in hell. It might a place where other earthly attachmentson the soul are removed from it.
Finally, heaven should be the final resting place for those souls with out major sins. Here people should live in peace and enlightment for eternity. By enlightment I mean being able to be in the precesnce of God and even to some extent understand his mysterious ways. Although this is pure speculation it is a likely posibility if one takes to account Dante only improves his spiritual state from the begining of the book (by improve I mean is closer to God). Even if this isn't the exact details of what happens just by the names of the books and by the trend we see in Dante on inferno it is almost certian that he will eventually end in the precence of God.
To the rest of humanity this tries to show the road to salvation which is that of truth. The souls in the Inferno aren't trapped there for all eternity or atleast not in the allegorical meaning of the book. Rather they are trapped there to show us the sins we can fall into and through this knowledge given to us we should ultimately be able to avoid them. The next books should be there to continue Dante's journey through the now reencountered path of truth. Like a dim light in the night showing us a way to God.

Conversation Punctuation
John says: Hey how are you.
Bob says: Ok, got tons of work.
John says: Yeah me too, but it’s still better than last year.
Bob says: Yeah last year I already had to read 40 pages for the second day of school.
John says: I remember that first semester mixing Spanish and English together wasn’t good at all.
Bob says: True but at least the second semester was fine.
John says: It was pretty compared to the first one but I would rather have a steady pace all year than not being able to sleep one semester and then not do anything the second.
Bob says: I see you point and I really do prefer this year’s schedule work load is pretty much balanced out although the system is still pretty disorganized. Can you believe I didn’t get P.E on my schedule?
John says: Yeah me too. I have to get that fixed soon but I really don’t feel like doing those huge lines outside the counselor’s office, plus I would have to drop French.
Bob says: Once I stayed all of lunch and I still didn’t get to change it.
John says: I am just going to wait until next week for the line to shorten and that way get so what can be done about that.
Bob says: Anyway I would really hate to leave French but apparently I have no choice. I still don’t understand why the school says we have selective courses if you don’t really get to choose any of them.
John says: I think it has to do with the Strengthening the body part for P.E and nurturing the spirit for religion. I guess we will just have to take it as it is.
Bob says: Sadly that’s it is so anyway what did you do for vacations.
John says: Well, other than reading I went out to a trip in California with some relatives of mine. It was fun got to see Disney and other theme parks. I also bought an I phone.
Bob says: Nice, I just stayed most of the time playing videogames and watching cartoons on internet. I took a french course too. It was kind of tough but I made it. :D
John says: Yeah learning a language must be tough.
Bob says: It is but the greatest problem is time. Its one of those things you have to spend tons of hours on to master it.
John says: I imagine, so what have you been playing lately.
Bob says: World of Warcraft and it’s been pretty fun.
John says: Really? How is it?
Bob says: well you have to level up a character and go around killing things. Something you have to group up with many people to kill bigger things but you get cool stuff out of it. Although the coolest part of it is the people you play with. Most are very weird which makes it very fun to play. Most of the time I just go around laughing at what they come up with.
John says: Sounds very fun, so what did you think about Dante’s Inferno.
Bob says: Well it got kind of complicated to read because it wasn’t prose but the story is still very interesting.
John says: Yeah I kind of like how it was very rhythmic helped me remember what I was reading. I didn’t like how he made almost everyone go to hell.
Bob says: yeah according to that book we are all going to hell no exactly a positive view of life. Although that’s not really the point of the book.
John says: True, it’s more about the darkest places in human nature or at least that’s what I got from it. The punishment and how far down it was in hell, was just a way to make it clear of what Dante thought to be the worst of sins.
Bob says: Yeah but you are starting to sound like some English blog.
John says: Hahahaha! XD Sorry, well its getting kind of late I have to go.
Bob says: Alright see you tomorrow.

Blogs: Opinion Only?
This excerpt tells us all the benefits that come with blogs. As we can see here: “Every sport, every war, every hurricane brings out a crop of bloggers, who often outdo the mainstream media in timeliness, geographic reach, insider information, and obsessive detail.” [1] This mainstream media includes newspapers, television and all that used to inform people before the blog started to appear.
This phenomenon could be related to the fact that the web now has more content, from videos to blogs which relate to everything imaginable. Also, blogs with detailed news about an event are updated shortly after this is happened. The faster update of information makes it ideal if you don’t wish to wait for the time the news is on TV. This ability to access information whenever you want gives you a freedom which none of the other means of communication gives you. Because of this it is very probable that the means by which we communicate will eventually find a way to merge with the internet allowing us to see what we want when we want it but at a cost.
Although most of these informative pages are free like blogs the main problem with this constantly updated information is the source. It is true that newspapers and T.V broadcasts aren’t always reliable but the probability of it being fake is less than that of a random person who wishes to make himself known worldwide. Thanks to this lack of reassurance about the truthfulness of the information the brands we are used to seeing in our news will most likely continue to be there only changed by the internet. We can already see this trend happening “Every self-respecting newspaper and magazine has some reporters and critics blogging, including The New York Times, The Atlantic, and The New Yorker.“ [1] Because of the reputation of being truthful that these corporations have obtained they will continue to be the ones that regulate the news defining which news is true and which false.
Even though this is a great way of communication which brings people who have a computer closer to each other there is now way to be entirely sure of what happened unless you are involved in the event that has happened. Blogs are a good idea of informing people but due to its lack of insurance of its information being correct is should only remain as a way to communicate opinions.
